In the Digital Signal Processing class (Fall Semester), a team of five to six students gives a presentation about assigned problems (Image 1). Team-learning and peer evaluation are used in the classroom to leverage the benefits of PBL, while in the classroom opportunities are made for peer learning.
Lecture classes aimed at sophomores implement the PBL element of teamwork which has had the effect of fostering problem-finding/solving ability and team skills at an early stage. For students in their junior year, the School of Information Environment offers project classes in which students can deal with problems based on themes proposed by a variety of sources including teachers, companies, and local governments.
