Career Summary
Osamu Shigo was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1946. He graduated from Tokyo Denki University in 1971 and received the Ph.D in engineering from TDU in 2012. In 1965, he joined NEC, Japan, where he has been involved in the research and development of software engineering, especially in software design method and
design support tools. In 1989 he was sent to NEC America, USA, until 1998, where he has been engaged in the internet business development. Since 2003, he become a professor in School of Information Environment, Tokyo Denki University.

Message to Students

My motto is "do my job in fun, do my hobby in hard."  I am very fun to research and educate software engineering and programming in the University.  In the same time, I am very hard to do my hobby, for example, singing in chorus group.  I recommend to the students to study fun and to do hard in hobby circle during your university life.
